Miss Globe International, which has organizations in 130 countries, received applications from all countries for its 86th pageant. 86 of these applications were found to meet the conditions and a preliminary selection was made by taking into account their physical characteristics. As a result of these evaluations, it was decided that the beauty queens of 41 countries would be taken to the camp and compete at Kaya Artemis Hotel in Gazi Magosa, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Preparations for the competition, which took place at Kaya Artemis Hotel in Gazi Magusa, began months in advance. Miss Globe National directors from 130 countries organized competitions to determine the national beauty queen who would represent their countries in the international final competition.
Starting from October 1, 2011, applications from countries were examined one by one by the Miss Globe International® pre-selection committee. In the first selection, it was decided that 96 country competitors would be invited to the competition in terms of physical appearance and they were asked to prepare a test that included their characteristics and their sensitivity to social events. The girls answered these tests and sent them to Miss Globe International® headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey. In the second selection, 48 girls who would participate in the grand final competition were determined. On December 17, 2011, the girls arrived at Kaya Artemis Hotel in Gazi Magusa, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and entered the competition camp.
International Turkish Choreographer Ferhan Aral took the girls for a one-week training for the show.
During this period, the girls were trained in walking, dancing and staging.
On the other hand, a 400 square meter stage was set up in the large hall called Efes of Kaya Artemis Hotel, which can accommodate 2000 people. The stage, which was set up in three stages with an area of 150 square meters each, was raised 100 cm from the ground in the first stage, 115 cm from the ground in the second stage, and 130 cm from the ground in the third stage. In addition, a staircase consisting of 4 steps was added to get to the stage from the front section of the judges. The stage was set up by MagicBOX, the country’s largest stage company. 3 engineers and 10 workers worked on the installation.
Inspired by the natural columns of the Temple of Artemis, similar ones were prepared with polyurethane foam. A symbolic representation was produced. For this, Aymer Reklam in Izmir processed the materials with CNC technology. 15 columns were produced and delivered to Ercan Airport in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with a 1-hour flight and then to Kaya Artemis Hotel in Gazi Magosa by road.
When it came to the lighting that would illuminate the stage, the Major company stepped in. The company, which worked in 3 shifts with its staff of 15 people, used a total of 70 spotlights with key light, back light and fill light arrangement. Thus, a perfect stage atmosphere was created. It successfully completed its work in 4 days. The large chandelier in the stage section of the hall was not touched and it was decided to remain as an accessory of the stage.
Director Pekyaşa Sözbir from FOX television had an application reflecting the mystery and depth of the night made for the gaps on both sides of the LED screen and had a frame made of iron profile covered with a black cover for both gaps and glitters shining like stars were poured. Thus, a perfect stage image was obtained.
